Preparation Method :

  • Rub the steaks with black pepper on all sides then coat with flour on all sides.
  • Remove the excess flour by shaking it.
  • Heat the oil and butter in a large frying pan.
  • Add the steaks and sauté for 3 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer the steaks to a warmed platter, cover with foil and leave in a warm place.
  • Add the onions and mushroom to the frying pan and cook for 4- 5 minutes.
  • Now add the wine, bring to the boil until most of it has evaporated (keep stirring constantly).
  • Add the coconut milk and continue to stir until it starts to thicken then season with pepper and mustard.
  • While serving pour the mushroom sauce over the steaks and garnish with chopped coriander.
  • Serve immediately.


  • 350 grams Kangaroo Steaks 
  • 2 table spoon Flour to coat 
  • 25 gram Butter 
  • 2 table spoon Cooking oil
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped 
  • 100 grams Mushrooms, chopped 
  • 200 ml Coconut Milk 
  • 90 ml Dry White Wine 
  • 2 tea spoon Black Pepper, grounded 
  • 1 tea spoon Mustard 
  • 2 table spoon Coriander, chopped
  • Salt to taste
