Preparation Method :

  • Combine the water, sugar and fish sauce in a bowl and mix until the sugar completely dissolves.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Set aside for 30 minutes then serve.



  • 1 tablespoon palm or dark brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 3 small red shallots, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 1 chili pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 small bunch coriander leaves (cilantro), finely chopped
