Preparation Method :

  • Combine the shrimp, rice flour, garlic, 1 tablespoon of coconut milk, fish sauce, sugar and green onions in a bowl.
  • Add the remaining coconut milk.
  • Heat the oil in a large wok. Drop a few heaping tablespoons of the shrimp mixture into the hot oil.
  • Fry the fritters until golden on both sides, then remove and drain on paper towels. Repeat until all the mixture has been fried.
  • Serve the fritters immediately with the Chili Coriander Dip.


  • 400 grams fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 150 grams rice flour
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons coconut milk
  • 60 ml fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut Oil, for deep-frying
