FIVE SPICE CHICKEN

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Combine marinade ingredients. Brush mixture inside and cover chicken.
  • Let stand 30 minutes on a rack over a pan of water.
  • Drain chicken and roast Chinese style at 180° C until tender.
  • Baste and turn chicken four times during cooking for even browning.
  • Chop chicken Chinese style Serve hot garnished with shallot shreds.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 kilograms chicken
  • 8 shallots, shredded

Marinade 

  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon five spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
