FRIED RICE WITH BEEF AND ALMONDS

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Combine steak, soy sauce and corn flour. Heat oil in a wok and add steak mixture. Stir-fry 2 minutes.
  • Add onion, capsicum and salt. Stir fry 1 minute. Add rice and almonds, stir frying to blend ingredients. This step can be done off the heat.
  • Place mixture into an oiled ring mould. Press down firmly. Turn out onto round serving plate, garnish and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams steak, thinly sliced and shredded
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • 5 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 large onions cut in finely shreds
  • 2 medium capsicum cut in fine shreds 
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 750 grams hot steamed rice
  • 250 gram almonds, toasted

Garnish

  • Shallot shreds
  • Extra toasted almonds
