VEGETABLE FRIED RICE

20 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil.
  • Add the long-grain white rice to the saucepan and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • Drain the rice well, rinse under cold running water and drain thoroughly again.
  • Heat the peanut oil in a preheated wok or large frying pan (skillet).
  • Add the garlic and Chinese five-spice and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  • Add the green beans, chopped green (bell) pepper and sliced corn cobs and stir-fry the ingredients in the wok for 2 minutes.
  • Stir the bamboo shoots, tomatoes, peas and rice into the mixture in the wok and stir-fry for 1 further minute.
  • Sprinkle with sesame oil and transfer to serving dishes.
  • Serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 grams long-grain white rice
  • 5 tablespoons IDHAYAM MANTRA peanut oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 100 grams green beans
  • 2 green (bell) pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 8 baby corn cobs, sliced
  • 50 grams bamboo shoots, chopped
  • 5 tomatoes, skinned, seeded and chopped
  • 100 grams cooked peas
  • 2 teaspoons IDHAYAM sesame oil
