Preparation Method :

  • Heat half the oil in a wok. Add garlic, ginger and shredded chicken. Stir-fry over high heat for 3 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, sherry, sugar and salt. Simmer covered 1 minute. Remove from wok and set aside.
  • Heat remaining oil. Add onion, broccoli and mushrooms. Stir fry 2 minutes.
  • Add chicken and stock. Cook covered 2 minutes.
  • Stir blended corn flour and water into mixture until boiling.


  • 5 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger root
  • 1 kg boned chicken breast, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 onions cut in eights
  • 500 grams broccoli, broken into florets
  • 200 grams mushrooms, sliced
  • 500 ml chicken stock
  • 4 teaspoons corn flour blended with
  • 4 tablespoons water
