Preparation Method :

  • Slice pork into thin strips, toss in combined corn flour and five spice powder.
  • Heat oil in wok, add pork mixture, stir-fry over high heat until pork is well browned. Add the chopped onions and celery, stir-fry few minutes.
  • Stir in Plum Sauce, heat through quickly and serve.
  • Plum Sauce: Heat oil in wok; add onion and ginger, stir-try until onion is soft.
  • Add chopped plums then remaining ingredients, cover, cook until plums are soft. Puree Sauce in blender or processor until smooth.


  • 1 kg pork fillet 
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • ½ teaspoon five spice powder 
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 4 sticks celery, sliced

Plum Sauce 

  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  • 500 grams fresh plums, peeled, pitted 
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 100 ml water
  • 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
