Preparation Method :

  • Remove skin and bone chicken breasts. Place each breast and the small under fillets on a board and cover with foil. Using a rolling pin, press out each chicken piece thinly.
  • Partly cover each breast with the fillet to make an even size. Sprinkle with chicken seasoning.
  • Cut ham into four wide strips. Spread each strip with hoisin sauce.
  • Place each piece of ham diagonally onto each chicken breast. Roll up and secure with two toothpicks. Chili 15 minutes.
  • Sieve flour and salt. Blend in egg and milk to form batter. Sprinkle rolls with corn flour then coat with batter.
  • Deep-fry two at a time in hot oil until golden. Remove toothpicks.
  • Serve sliced and garnished with fried noodles.


  • 4 whole chicken breasts
  • 2 slice square ham steak cut 1 cm thick 
  • Chicken seasonings to taste
  • 8 teaspoons hoisin sauce
  • 200 grams plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 500 ml milk 
  • 4 tablespoons corn flour
  • 1 liter IDHAYAM sesame oil, for deep-frying
  • 100 grams vermicelli noodles, deep fried
