Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Saute the hot dogs till golden brown. Drain and set aside. Add the onion to the pan and saute till golden brown. Add the garlic and saute until pale gold.
  • Add the tomato sauce and cook, stirring occasionally, for two minutes. Stir in the kidney beans, lower heat and simmer for four minutes.
  • Stir in the hot dog sausages, salt and crushed peppercorns and simmer for another minute. Remove from heat. Divide into four equal portions.
  • Cut the tops off the burns horizontally. Scoop out the centre of the buns, leaving about an inch around the sides to form a bread bowl. Lightly butter the insides of each bowl.
  • Spoon one portion of the filling into each bowl and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Serve immediately.



  • 5 small hot dog sausages, sliced
  • 6 small hamburger buns
  • 2 small onion, chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 100 ml tomato sauce
  • 300 grams cooked red kidney beans
  • 10 black peppercorns, crushed
  • 5 teaspoons butter
  • 100 grams grated processed cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
