Preparation Method :

  • Beat egg yolks till it becomes thick and fluffy. Add sugar and beat again.
  • Gradually add the ground hazelnuts and almonds.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff and stir in the above mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into two separate greased tins and place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Bake until the top of the cake springs back instantly after pushing in.
  • Remove from the oven and cover the top layer of each cake with cherry brandy.
  • Spread a thin layer of raspberry jam over each and place one cake on the other.
  • Beat the cream and spread on the top.
  • Garnish with hazelnuts and sprinkle powdered sugar.
  • Serve the cake.


  • 200 gram ground Hazelnuts
  • 150 gram blanched ground Almonds
  • 30 whole Hazelnuts
  • 10 Eggs
  • 200 gram cup Sugar
  • 150 ml Cherry Brandy
  • 150 ml Raspberry Jam
  • 500 ml Whipping Cream
  • Powdered Sugar (for dusting)
