Preparation Method :

  • Tzatziki Combine the yogurt, garlic, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Add the cucumber and mint and season with salt. Cover with plastic wrap (cling film) and chill.
  • Lamb Combine the oil, lemon juice, vinegar, oregano, garlic, and cumin in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add the lamb and toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat a grill pan or barbecue on high. Drain the lamb, reserving the marinade. Thread the lamb onto metal skewers.
  • Cook, basting frequently with the marinade, until cooked, about 5 minutes each side. Serve hot with pita bread, salad, and tzatziki.



  • 500 ml plain yogurt
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cucumber, peeled, seeded, and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped fresh mint
  • Salt to taste


  • 100 ml sesame oil
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 kg lamb leg, boned, cut into cubes
  • Mixed salad and pita bread, to serve
