Preparation Method :

  • In a bowl, whisk the yogurt and water until well blended. The consistency should be that of full cream milk.
  • Adjust by adding more water if necessary.
  • Add the ginger, chillies and ground cumin, season with the salt and black pepper and mix well.
  • Pour into 4 serving glasses and chill. Garnish with chopped coriander before serving.


  • 450 ml natural (plain) yogurt
  • 350 ml water
  • 1 in piece fresh root ginger, finely crushed
  • 2 fresh green chilies, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • Few fresh coriander leaves, chopped, to garnish
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
