Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a pan. Add the garlic and saute briefly. Sprinkle on the black salt and saute until the garlic is well browned.
  • Grind the mint leaves, ginger, chillies and sauteed garlic to a fine paste, adding two tablespoons water.
  • Stir the paste into the yogurt and mix well. Add the lemon juice and mix again.
  • Serve chilled.


  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 10 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon black salt  
  • 100 grams  fresh mint leaves, hand torn
  • 2.5cm piece root ginger, roughly chopped
  • 4 green chillies, roughly chopped
  • 500 grams natural low-fat yogurt, whisked
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
