Preparation Method :

  • Melt the jaggery in a large non-stick frying pan and stir over a low to moderate heat until melted.
  • Stir often and crush up any pieces. When smooth, stir in the carom seeds and fennel, followed by the walnut halves. Stir until well coated.
  • Place each walnut half individually on a sheet of greaseproof paper. Pour the whole lot on to the paper, work quickly and separate the pieces with two forks.
  • Allow it to cool and harden. Store it in an airtight container and garnish for a dessert.


  • 100 grams walnut halves  
  • 100 grams jaggery
  • ½ teaspoon carom seeds
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
