Preparation Method :

  • Roast the semolina with 1 tablespoon ghee till it gives an aroma.
  • Blend the watermelon pulp, salt, jaggery and coconut in a blender.
  • Boil the watermelon pulp in a heavy bottomed pan. Simmer to low flame, add the semolina and stir constantly so that no lumps form. Mix in another tablespoon of ghee.
  • Stir well till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Put in a greased oven-proof dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 350oF for about 20 minutes.


  • 150 grams semolina (rawa)
  • 50 grams ghee
  • 500 ml Watermelon pulp
  • 35 grams grated coconut
  • A pinch of salt
  • 150 grams grated jaggery
