Preparation Method :

  • Soak the rice flakes in 5 cups of water  for 2 minutes and drain the water and Set aside for 10 minutes.
  • Put 25 grams of ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel and melt it. Add the soaked rice flakes and stir it for 2 minutes. Transfer it to a bowl.
  • Add water in the same heavy bottomed vessel add kesar yellow colour or saffron and bring it to boil.
  • Add sugar and stir it until it dissolves.
  • Add the rice flakes little by little stirring continuously.
  • When the mixtures starts to thicken,add the ghee and the cooking camphor dissolved in little hot water. Turn-off the stove.
  • Fry the cashews in ghee until golden brown.
  • Transfer the contents to a serving Bowl. Garnish with roasted Cashews.


  • 250 grams rice flakes
  • 300 grams sugar
  • 150 grams ghee
  • 500 grams water
  • A pinch of cooking camphor
  • 100 grams split cashew nuts
