Preparation Method :

  • Place all the syrup ingredients saucepan, stir over until the jaggery completely dissolves and thickened to syrup.
  • Pour the prepared jaggery syrup straight over the prepared fruit.
  • Garnish with the nuts and serve.


  • 500 grams prepared fruits (apple, pear, plum, peach, apricot, etc)
  • Flaked almonds, toasted, to serve


  • 350 ml water
  • 100 grams jaggery  
  • 4 green cardamom pods, lightly pounded to open
  • 1-2 brown cardamom pods, lightly pounded to open
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 2-3 black peppercorns
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • Few drops of rose essence
