Preparation Method :

  • Bring the milk to the boil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Simmer till it thickens to half the quantity.
  • Add the sugar and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the crushed cardamoms and saffron. Garnish with the chopped pistachios.
  • Serve chilled.


  • 3 litres milk
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 9 green cardamoms, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon saffron strands
  • 2 tablespoon chopped Pistachios for garnishing
