Preparation Method :

  • Parboil the rice and spread it out on a flat dish to cool.
  • Heat the ghee in a kadhai; add cloves, green cardamom, and cinnamon stick.
  • Add water, sugar, and saffron; stir till the syrup becomes slightly sticky.
  • Add rice and stir carefully on low heat for 15 minutes or till the mixture is absolutely dry. Remove from heat.
  • Add almonds, pistachios, and pine nuts; mix gently. Serve hot.


  • 250 grams Basmati Rice, soaked for 1 hour, drained 
  • 8 tablespoon Ghee 
  • 4 Cloves 
  • 4 Green cardamoms 
  • 1 Cinnamon, 1" stick 
  • 450 grams Sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon Saffron, soaked 
  • 25 grams Almonds, blanched 
  • 25 grams Pistachios, chopped 
  • 25 grams Pine nuts, peeled
