Preparation Method :

  • Melt ghee in a heavy bottom pan.
  • Add whole wheat flour and cook for 12-15 minutes on low heat, stirring continuously, till medium brown in colour. When aroma exudes and the flour is properly browned, take off the heat.
  • Immediately spread in a tray. Cool till it comes to room temperature.
  • Sprinkle cardamom powder and add sugar. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle milk and mix well again to get a mixture that binds well.
  • Form tight fist shaped pinnies. This is done by taking some mixture and pressing in the fist. Top with sliced pistachio, and press again.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams whole wheat flour
  • 400 grams ghee
  • 300 grams powdered sugar
  • 6 tablespoon milk
  • Seeds of 10 green cardamoms- powdered
  • A few sliced pistachios to garnish
