GROUNDNUT CHIKKI

Preparation Method :

  • Take the entire Groundnut and put it in a frying pan over low heat. This needs not to be roasted. Once the Groundnut is roasted, remove it from the pan to prevent more cooking and put it aside on a plate to cool down. Then take out its skin.
  • Heat up another frying pan, add the White Sugar, the Brown Sugar and a little bit of Water and bring all of it to boil.
  • When the sugar syrup gets thicker in consistency then the time is right to add the Groundnut to it and mix it very well.
  • Take a plate, grease it with the Ghee and then spread the well mixed Groundnut in it.
  • Once the Mix is cooled down, with a simple knife you can cut it into pieces.
  • Once the Groundnut Chikki is completely cooled down, you can then store it into a container.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Kg Groundnut
  • 8 Tablespoons of Ghee
  • 400 Grams Brown Sugar
  • 200 Grams White Sugar
