Preparation Method :

  • Boil milk in a heavy-bottomed pan; bring the milk to a rapid boil. Lower the flame and stir continuously until milk is reduced to three-fourth its original volume.
  • Combine sugar with little water in a pan and caramelize it to a golden colour.
  • Now add the thickened milk to the caramel along with cardamom powder and boil again.
  • Remove from heat, cool the mixture to room temperature and add the whisked yoghurt and mix well.
  • Pour into 6 small bowls or ramekins. Cover and allow it to set for about 6 hours.
  • Refrigerate and serve chilled. 


  • 1 liter whole milk
  • 200 grams sugar
  • ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk yoghurt, whisked till smooth
