Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil in a large pan and fry onions till golden brown.
  • Add dal, palak and all other ingredients, including the spices with water and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • Cook on low heat for 3-5 minutes. mash the dal slightly and Serve hot. 


  • 100 grams split gram / soaked
  • 250 grams spinach / chopped
  • 2 tomatoes 
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • ½ " piece ginger chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder 
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala 
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder 
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 1 onion chopped
