Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and add onion, fry till it turns soft. Add in the ground paste and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until a nice aroma comes out of it.
  • Put in the prawns and cook for about 3-5 minutes or until the mixture turns dry.
  • Pour in 2-3 cups water and bring to a boil. Simmer to low flame and put in the pieces of mangoes and chillies.
  • Cook till the prawns turn tender.
  • Serve with boiled rice.


  • 550 grams prawns, cleaned, washed and drained
  • 1 small raw mango, sliced
  • 50 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 2-3 green chillies, slit
  • Salt to taste

Ground to Fine Paste

  • 150 grams onion
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 5-6 flakes garlic
  • Coconut
  • 1-inch piece ginger
  • Red chillies, to taste
