There are many fishes out in the ocean, so basically you could prepare a lot of fish dishes at home! This can be done so that your child would fulfill his cravings especially if fish is one of his favorites! Don’t worry about the nutrition that Fish Fingers with Tartar Sauce can give. It definitely has all the ingredients that make it more nutritious!

Preparation Method :

  • Rub a little lemon juice on the fish fingers and wash the fish well. Transfer them to a kitchen towel and pat till well dried.
  • To prepare the marinade, mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl.
  • Transfer the fish to a flat plate and rub the marinade on the fish. Keep aside for about 20 - 30 minutes.
  • Coat the fish fingers on the bread crumbs and fry on medium heat. Drain on absorbent paper.
  • To prepare the tartar sauce: Soak the onion and cucumber in vinegar for 15 minutes.
  • Strain the cucumber and onion in vinegar to drain out the vinegar.
  • Press gently to remove any excess vinegar.
  • Gently mix it into the mayonnaise. Serve with fish fingers.


  • 500 grams white fish fillet, without bones - cut into fingers 
  • 120 grams dry bread crumbs 
  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste 
  • Salt, Pepper, red chilli powder to taste
  • 1 teaspoon mustard paste

  • 1 egg white 
  • 100 ml IDHAYAM MANTRA peanut oil
  • 1 medium sized finely chopped cucumber
  • 1 medium sized very finely chopped onion
  • 25 ml brown vinegar
  • A few coriander leaves - chopped
