Preparation Method :

  • Sieve the flour. Add three tablespoons of ghee and mix well.
  • Now add some water and knead lightly.Cover with a damp cloth and set aside.
  • Mash the khoya and fry it in a deep frying pan till it changes light brown in colour.
  • Add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well till the sugar dissolves.
  • Add almonds, cashews, coconut and raisins. Fry for 2 minutes and put off the flame.Allow it to cool.
  • Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a small round of 4 inch diameter. Fill half the round with the khoya mixture, fold it and seal the round, twisting the edges inwards.
  • Heat ghee in the deep frying pan  and fry the gujiyas , two or three at a time on medium flame.
  • When the ghjia turns golden brown in colour, drain and take it out.
  • Garnish with grated almonds and pistachios and serve.


  • 250  grams maida
  • 3 tablespoon melted ghee

For the Filling:

  • 250 grams Khoya
  • ½ teaspoon green Cardamom Powder
  • 25 grams chopped Almonds
  • 25 grams Raisins
  • 25 grams dried Coconut, shredded
  • 200 grams Sugar
  • 200 grams ghee
