Preparation Method :

  • Wash potatoes well . Prick well with a fork. Cut each potato into 2 pieces.
  • Soak potatoes for 1½ -2 hours in 1 cup water to which 1 teaspoon salt is added.
  • Heat the oil. Add in the drained potatoes. Fry till cooked. Drain out extra oil/ghee.
  • Add salt, green chillies and lemon juice. Mix well and serve hot.


  • 150 grams baby potatoes,(can peel if desired)
  • 3 tablespoon Cooking oil or ghee
  • 5-6 green chillies - slit lengthways
  • Salt to taste
  • Juice of ½ lemons
