Preparation Method :

  • Coarsely grind the soaked dhal with chillies, ginger and salt. Add very little water if needed.
  • Add cilantro and make flat patties shape. Adjust seasoning with salt and chillies.
  • Deep fry the patties in the oil.


  • 150 grams bengal gram dhal, soaked and drained
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander
  • 2-4 green chillies
  • 1 inch ginger
  • Salt, to taste
  • IDHAYAM MANTRA Penaut Oil for deep frying
