Preparation Method :

  • Add the thin coconut milk to the cooked rawa and jaggery and bring it to a boil and then add the second milk.
  • Simmer to low flame and bring to a boil and then add the first milk. After one boil remove from the heat.
  • Add the cardamom, fried cashews and the fried coconut pieces to the payasam.


  • 100 ml thick Coconut milk
  • 100 ml second Coconut milk
  • 50 ml third thin Coconut milk   
  • 150 grams Jaggery, boil with little water and strained        
  • 100 grams Wheat rava, pressure-cook using thrice the amount of water
  • 4-6 Cardamom, powdered       
  • 8-10 Cashew nuts broken, fried in ghee
  • 25 grams Coconut (cut into pieces) , fried in ghee
