Preparation Method :

  • Heat the butter and oil together in a pan and sprinkle the cumin seeds. When they crackle, add the onions and garlic and toss till they are soft.
  • Add the meat and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the meat has changed colour evenly.
  • Add the peppers and toss for a minute, then the tomatoes, spring onions, pepper and salt. Continue stirring till the tomatoes appear to soften and turn mushy.
  • Taste and adjust the seasonings and serve hot.


  • 750 grams Beef fillet, cleaned, washed and shredded
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 25 ml IDHAYAM Sesame Oil
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 125 grams onions, sliced
  • 50 grams garlic, sliced
  • 2 green peppers, sliced
  • 120 grams tomatoes, sliced
  • 50 grams spring onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon black peppercorns, crushed
  • Salt to taste
