Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and fry the ground paste. Add the beef and fry to a red colour.
  • Cover with hot water and cook till the beef is almost done.
  • Put in the vegetables, vinegar and sugar. Cook till the beef is tender. Decorate with coriander and mint leaves.


  • 1 kg beef
  • 100 ml vinegar
  • 3 potatoes, peeled
  • 3 whole carrots, peeled
  • 2 onions, peeled

Spice Paste

  • 1 teaspoon of peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Handful of mint and coriander leaves
  • 8-10 red chillies    
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 6-8 flakes garlic
  • 1-inch piece ginger
  • Sugar and salt to taste
