STUFFED BEEF ROLLS SIMMERED IN A LIGHT CURRY

Preparation Method :

  • Sprinkle salt lightly on these flattened steaks and place a bit of the carrots, capsicum and ginger on one end of each flattened steak.
  • Roll the steaks tightly from one end to the next so that the vegetables are encased within.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and cook the onions till they are soft. Add the garlic, tomatoes, chillies and turmeric and stir on medium heat till the tomatoes are pulpy.
  • Add a cup of water and bring the sauce to a boil, reduce the heat and slide in the beef rolls and peppercorns.
  • Simmer for 20-22 minutes or until the steaks are cooked through. Add the black pepper and bring the sauce to a gentle boil.
  • Taste and adjust the seasonings, stir in the coriander leaves and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg size steaks, Beef tenderloin, pound them with a meat mallet and flattened
  • 200 grams Shredded carrots
  • 50 grams Shredded capsicum
  • 15 grams Shredded ginger
  • 30 ml IDHAYAM Sesame Oil
  • 75 grams Chopped onions
  • 15 grams Chopped garlic
  • 100 grams Chopped tomatoes
  • 15 grams Chopped fresh chillies
  • 5 grams Turmeric powder
  • 10 grams Crushed black peppercorns
  • 5 grams Chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
