Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and fry the onions till soft. Add the ground paste and tomatoes and fry.
  • Pour in 2 cups of water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and drop in the boiled eggs. When the gravy turns thick remove from fire.
  • Decorate with fried cashews and coriander leaves.


  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 tomato
  • Fried Cashews, to decorate
  • Handful coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Ground to Paste

  • 90 grams coconut, grated
  • 4-6 red chillies
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 4-6 flakes garlic
  • ¼ inch piece ginger
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind juice
