Preparation Method :

  • Grind cumin seeds (jeera), coriander seeds, red chillies, garlic, ginger and tamarind to a coarse paste.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions till soft. Add in the ground masala and fry.
  • Finally add in the coconut with shellfish, adjust seasoning with salt and cook until all the water has evaporated.


  • 150 grams Coconut, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking Oil
  • 90 Shellfish, clean, rinse and scoop into one shell.
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind
  • 5 flakes Garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ inch Ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 3 Red chillies
  • Salt to taste
