Preparation Method :

  • Put 2 cups of water into the sugar and prepare a syrup of one- thread consistency.
  • Remove from fire and cool. Mix together cardamoms, sugar syrup, coconut, semolina, ghee, rose water and yolks. Beat till stiff and fold into the mixture.
  • Grease the baking tin, pour in the mixture and bake in a moderate oven for 15-17 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean.


  • 500 grams sugar
  • 1½ coconut, scraped and ground to smooth paste
  • 250 grams semolina, roasted
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 100 grams ghee
  • 2 teaspoon powdered cardamom seeds
  • Rose water
