Preparation Method :

  • Mix the flour gradually in the egg, sugar mixture, stirring all the time.
  • Add in the milks with salt. Mix in the ghee and set the batter aside for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Filling: Put the coconut, sugar and cardamoms on a slow fire and cook till the mixture turns thick.
  • Heat a pan nicely, put in little ghee, then put spoonful of batter on the pan and spread to a thin round.
  • Fry on both the sides to a light golden colour. Put coconut filling in each pancake and roll up.


  • 200 ml thick coconut milk
  • 350 grams refined flour
  • 90 ml milk
  • 45 grams sugar
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 3 eggs, beat with the measured sugar
  • Pinch of salt

The Filling

  • 350-400 grams sugar
  • 2 large coconuts, scraped
  • 2 teaspoon crushed cardamom seeds
