Preparation Method :

  • Put 1 cup water and cardamoms in sugar and make a thick syrup.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and keep on stirring till the mixture turns thick and leaves the sides of the vessel.
  • Transfer to a greased pan, level the surface and cover with silver foil. Cut into pieces when cold.


  • 200 grams coconut, ground to a paste
  • 350 grams gram dhal, rinsed, drained, cooked, mashed and seived
  • 500 grams sugar
  • 50 grams ghee
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom seeds
  • Chaandi ka varq
