Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and fry ground coconut, onion, ginger and chillies till the mixture starts changing colour.
  • Put in the mashed brinjal, coconut milk, salt, vinegar and chilli powder to taste.
  • Cook till the mixture turns thick.
  • Serve immediately.


  • 500 grams big brinjal, Roasted until it turns black, peeled and mashed
  • 220 ml coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 2-3 green chillies, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ground coconut
  • Salt and vinegar to taste
