CHICKEN STEW

Preparation Method :

  • Grind the coriander, chilly, turmeric and garam masala powder with a little water to form a ball.
  • Heat the oil; add the garlic and saute, then add the ginger and chillies and saute for a minute.
  • Add the cut onions, curry leaves and saute till the onions turn pale in colour.
  • Remove and keep aside.Heat the oil and saute the ground masala till well done.
  • Add the sauteed onions.Add the potatoes, saute for a minute.
  • Add the chicken pieces and saute for some more time till the masala coats the chicken well.
  • Add the second extraction of coconut milk, salt and cook till the chicken is well done.
  • Then add the first extract of coconut milk and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 kg Dressed chicken
  • 500 grams Potatoes  
  • 500 grams Onions
  • 4 nos Green chillies
  • 50 grams Ginger  
  • 50 grams Garlic
  • 5 sprigs Curry leaves
  • 300 ml Coconut milk thick
  • 750 ml Coconut milk thin
  • 8 tablespoons Coriander powder
  • 4 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 5 tablespoons Sesame Oil
