KOZHI MALLIARACHA CURRY

Preparation Method :

  • Grind the coriander, turmeric and chilli powder along with the aniseed to a fine paste.
  • Mix the finely ground paste in coconut milk.
  • Add the chicken pieces along with required amount of salt.
  • Cook on  medium flame for 10 minutes or pressure cook for 4 minutes.
  • Remove the cooked chicken pieces from the gravy.
  • Heat some oil in a pan and fry the chicken pieces lightly.
  • Remove from fire and keep aside.
  • Heat the rest of the oil and fry the shallots till golden brown in colour. Put the fried chicken back into the gravy in which it was cooked.
  • Add the remaining coconut milk and heat on low flame.
  • Add half the fried shallots to the curry and mix lightly.
  • Transfer the curry into a dish and ganish with the remaining fried shallots. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 Kg Dressed Chicken
  • 8 tablespoons Coriander Powder
  • 2 tablespoon Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Aniseed
  • 300 grams Shallots
  • 500 grams Grated coconut
  • 150 ml Sesame Oil
  • 500 ml coconut milk
