Preparation Method :

  • Grind all the powders with water in a blender for 5 minutes.
  • Heat the oil. Add the crushed garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add the ginger, sliced onions and saute till the onions turn pale brown.
  • Add the curry leaves and saute for a minute or two.
  • Remove and keep aside. Heat the oil and saute the ground ingredients till well done.
  • Add the sauteed onions, ginger, garlic and curry leaves.
  • Add the chicken pieces, salt and water.
  • Cover and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. Remove the cover and let it cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.


  • 1.5 kg Dressed Chicken, Cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 500 grams Onions
  • 50 grams Ginger
  • 30 grams Garlic
  • 5 sprigs Curry leaves
  • 8 tablespoons Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chilly powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 3 teaspoons Salt
  • 5  tablespoon Sesame Oil
