Preparation Method :

  • Take a large non-stick saucepan.
  • Add water and rice and boil for 30 minutes or until water has almost evaporated.
  • Warm the milk in a separate saucepan.
  • Add milk to the rice and boil on medium heat for 30 minutes.
  • Add ground cardamom, condensed milk and saffron. Bring to boil.
  • Meanwhile heat the ghee in a frying pan
  • Add cashew nuts and raisins and heat for 30 seconds.
  • Add them to the milk and rice mixture.
  • Serve hot.


  • 300 grams Basmati rice uncooked, soak in water for 1 hour
  • 750 ml milk
  • 200 ml condensed milk
  • 5 tablespoon cashew nuts
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 4 tablespoon ghee
  • 2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 6 strands of saffron, soaked in milk
