Preparation Method :

  • Grind the dry chillies, garlic flakes, small onions, ginger, pepper, turmeric powder and salt, smear on the fish. Marinate for some time, fry on medium fire and drain.
  • Over slow fire, heat 1 dessert spoon of the oil and strained sediments after frying . Add onion and green chillies.
  • Do not saute it. Stir well and as soon as it is hot remove and pour coconut milk, stir continuously.
  • Add vinegar and salt and mix well, when it cools. Add the fried fish and let it soak for some time and serve.


  • 500 grams fish (suitable for fry) gashed closely 
  • 10 Dry chillies 
  • 6 Garlic flakes 
  • 3 Small onions 
  • 1 sq. inch piece Ginger 
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper 
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1 dessert spoon Cooking Oil and the strained sediments after frying fish 
  • 200 grams Onion sliced round, soaked in liquid salt, squeezed and separated 
  • 250 ml Thick milk extracted from 1½ cups of grated coconut
  • 1 dessert spoon Vinegar
