Preparation Method :

  • Soften the grated coconut by squeezing it and then mix with the onion, ginger, green chillies, garlic, curry leaves, fish tamarind (kudampuly), salt, turmeric and fish pieces.
  • Sprinkle the tamarind water and more water if necessary to cook the fish. Simmer and cook till all the water is dried.


  • 300 grams Fish cut into small pieces 
  • 200 grams Grated coconut 
  • 25 grams Onion thinly sliced and long 
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger chopped fine 
  • 10 grams Green chillies diced 
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic 
  • Curry leaves
  • Fish tamarind (kudampuly)
  • Salt to taste
  • As required Turmeric 
  • 30 ml Tamarind water
