KARIMEEN VARATHATHU

Preparation Method :

  • Grind the ginger and garlic well.
  • Mix all the powders with a little water to form a thick paste.
  • Mix the ground ginger and garlic paste.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Make few gashes on both sides of the fish.
  • Apply the marinate both sides of the fish as well as in the stomach cavity.
  • Keep it aside for a while to marinate.
  • Heat oil in a thick-bottomed pan; add the curry leaves. Fry the fish to a deep golden brown.
  • Remove from the pan and serve hot with onion salad.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams Karimeen
  • 50 grams Ginger
  • 50 grams Garlic
  • 4 teaspoons Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 4 teaspoons Pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 8 sprigs Curry leaves
  • Sesame Oil for fry the fish
