Preparation Method :

  • Grind the dry chillies, pepper, mustard, red onions, garlic, ginger, cummin seed, fenugreek, turmeric, salt finely and apply the paste on the sardines and keep for a long time.
  • Fry sardines in a little oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat.


  • 500 grams (16 large) Sardines 
  • 15 Dry chillies
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper 
  • ⅛ teaspoon Mustard 
  • 5 Red onions 
  • 8 slices Garlic
  • 1 sq. inch piece Ginger 
  • 2 pinches Cummin seed 
  • 2 pinches Fenugreek 
  • Turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • IDHAYAM Sesame Oil for fry
