RED FISH CURRY

Preparation Method :

  • Soak tamarind in a little water and chilli powder in 30 ml of water. Heat oil and fry fenugreek first and then add the onion, Saute and add ginger.
  • Add soaked chilli powder and when it is browned add the tamarind water and one more cup of water, sufficient to cook the fish.
  • Put tamarind and salt and cook covered. When it boils add garlic. Allow to simmer and when the gravy is of desired thickness remove from fire.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams Fish cut into pieces
  • 30 ml IDHAYAM sesame Oil
  • 2 pinches Fenugreek
  • 15 grams Onion sliced long
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger sliced long
  • 15 grams Chilli powder 
  • 200 ml Water 
  • Water used for soaking tamarind 
  • 4 pieces Tamarind (kudampuly) 
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic sliced long
