MUTTON KURMA

Preparation Method :

  • Grind the green chillies, ginger, cumminseed, pepper, turmeric, poppy seeds, garlic, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.
  • Grind half of the grated coconut separately and take thick coconut milk from the other half of the coconut.
  • Soak the meat and masala in the coconut milk. Heat oil or ghee and saute the sliced onion.
  • Add the soaked meat with the liquid and cook. When half done add potatoes, salt and the coconut paste mixed in curd.
  • Sprinkle the coriander leaves, Let it simmer and when the gravy is thick and meat is tender remove from fire.

  • 500 grams Mutton cut into pieces 
  • Green chillies to taste 
  • 2 pieces Ginger 
  • 1 teaspoon Cumminseed 
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper 
  • 1 small piece Turmeric 
  • 3 teaspoon poppy seeds 
  • 8 slices Garlic 
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • Cloves to taste 
  • Cardamom to taste 
  • 1 Onion sliced 
  • Few sprigs Coriander leaves 
  • 1 Coconut 
  • Little Saffron mixed in milk 
  • 2 Potatoes 
  • 2 teaspoon Curds 
  • 30 ml Cooking oil or ghee
