Preparation Method :

  • Grind the red onion, ginger, garlic together with the soaked ingredients of chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder.
  • Mix with prawns and the ingredients in Tamirind, curry leaves, salt , mix all the ingredients together and cook with sufficient water till the gravy, coats the prawn.
  • Fry onion in 50 ml coconut oil till light brown and add the prawn after picking out the tamarind and saute for a while.


  • 500 grams Prawns 
  • ½ dessert spoon Red onion sliced long 
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger sliced long 
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic sliced long 
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder 
  • ½ teaspoon Coriander powder 
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper powder 
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder 
  • Tamarind (kudampuli) to taste 
  • 1 Stalk Curry leaves 
  • Salt to taste
